This project explores the design of a custom scarf accessory for a Jellycat bunny, created as a giveaway item for Odyssey Global Preschool. The aim was to transform an existing plush character into a warm, friendly brand touchpoint that preschool students could emotionally connect with. My role focused specifically on designing the scarf as a branded accessory, rather than the toy itself.
The scarf was designed in a heart-shaped form to reinforce warmth, care, and emotional connection—values closely aligned with early childhood education. A soft, neutral fabric was selected to complement the Jellycat bunny without overpowering its existing character.
The Odyssey logo was embroidered onto the scarf to ensure durability, safety, and a premium finish, while remaining gentle and approachable for preschool-aged users.
Rather than treating the logo as a bold brand mark, it was integrated as a quiet brand detail, allowing the toy to remain the hero and preserving its comforting presence.
Below is a second variation of the final Jellycat x Odyssey concept.
During the design process, multiple scarf concepts were developed to explore how Odyssey Global Preschool’s branding could be applied to the Jellycat bunny in a way that felt warm, playful, and suitable for preschool-aged children.
These versions investigated variations in form, colour, material, and logo placement, including different scarf constructions such as knotted ties, patterned wraps, and ribbon-style treatments. Each concept helped test the balance between brand visibility and the soft, comforting nature of the toy.
While these directions were not taken forward, they played an important role in shaping the final design. The exploration phase helped clarify priorities around simplicity, safety, and subtle brand integration, ultimately informing the selected outcome.
